Dietitian’s suggestion:

To even further lessen the extra fat and cholesterol in this recipe, use 1/2 cup egg substitute instead of the 1 egg and 2 egg whites.

  2. 8 ounces chopped mushrooms
  3. 1 egg
  4. 2 egg whites

  6. three ounces lean ham, chopped (about 1 1/4 cups)
  7. six ounces shredded small-extra fat Swiss cheese
  8. 1 completely ready-created 9-inch pie crust

Warmth the oven to 350 F.

Spray a skillet with cooking spray. Add the onions and mushrooms and cook about medium heat until finally tender.

In a big bowl, whisk with each other the egg, egg whites and bitter product. Stir in the sauteed onions, ham and cheese. Pour the combination into the unbaked pie shell.

Bake until finally the quiche is set and evenly browned, about 40 minutes. Minimize into six wedges and provide quickly.
