For day 28 of my “31 of World wide Flavors” sequence, dietitian and pal Christy Wilson talks about her really like for mangos!

Mangos

Christy’s selection a single international taste is mango. It has a tropical, citrus taste that is so juicy and refreshing. Mangos are a small sour, a small sweet, and a whole lot tasty! Mangos are pretty versatile and can be eaten by themselves, put together with other fruits, vegetables, grains and herbs, or muddled or blended into drinks and desserts. I love eating magos as a dessert or snack with a minor extra lime juice and my most loved chili lime seasoning, Tajin. As a deal with, I puree fresh new mango and make it into paletas (frozen pops)! I identified that, specially when my children were more youthful, this was a exciting way to supply my young ones fruit and they cherished it! I also like mixing diced fresh mango with cucumber, jicama and a tiny cilantro for a sweet, clean and crunchy combo. Here’s my recipe for Mango Chile Limon Paletas (frozen pops)– love!
